Insurance Coverage
team in our
Ft. Lauderdale

insurance coverage, insurance defense
or
general liability
litigation, and offers the flexibility of location with the option to work remotely or at one of our offices.
What You’ll Do: As a
Paralegal
on the Insurance Coverage team, you’ll work closely with a talented team of attorneys, supporting their efforts on challenging and high‑profile cases. Your responsibilities will include:
Drafting and preparing legal documents such as motions, briefs, discovery responses, settlement documents, and more.
Managing discovery processes, including extensive document review and preparation.
Tracking key deadlines and maintaining an organized calendar to ensure timely court filings.
Conducting legal research on case facts, statutes, and case law to provide critical insights.
Assisting attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials, ensuring all necessary documentation is ready.
Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors to facilitate smooth case management.
Using e‑discovery tools and databases, including NetDocs, to manage case information and documents.
What We’re Looking For: We’re looking for a detail‑oriented, self‑starter who has a passion for litigation and enjoys working as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree
required; Paralegal Certificate from an ABA‑approved program preferred.
A minimum of
3 years
of
defense litigation experience —experience in
insurance coverage
is desired, but experience in
general liability or insurance defense
will also be considered.
Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency with
Microsoft Office
and legal research tools like
LexisNexis .
A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment.
