Summary The Sourcing Commodity Leader is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that support the company’s operational and financial goals. This role leads supplier selection, contract negotiations, cost reduction initiatives, and risk management efforts across direct and indirect categories. The Sourcing Leader collaborates cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and finance to ensure supplier performance, innovation, and alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities

Actively utilize Supply Chain Management intelligence to identify and drive cost reduction initiatives, benchmarks and analyses based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principle in every activity. Follow material market costs, trends and tools for continues improvement in local material category strategy.

Participation in new product development initiatives ensuring appropriate supplier selection, expected total costs as well as high quality and profitable growth objectives. well as high quality and profitable growth objectives.

Drive supplier evaluation and selection with strategic focus on rapid growth, scalability, capacity, and agility while maintaining high product quality, delivery and competitive pricing.

Drive cost reduction initiatives through value engineering, alternative sourcing, and process improvements.

Monitor and manage supply chain risks, including geopolitical, financial, and operational risks.

Negotiate best prices, terms and contractual agreements consistent with the Company's established quality standards and business requirements.

Initiate and lead supplier qualification processes, evaluations and appropriate quality development.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.

Experience in fast-growing, scaling environments with evolving operational frameworks.

Knowledge and experience managing a wide range of commodities, including but not limited to custom metal fabrication, printed circuit board assembly, electro-mechanical and wiring materials.

Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Strong negotiation skills and experience managing global supplier relationships.

Proficiency in sourcing tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SyteLine).

Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

CPSM, CSCP, or similar supply chain certification.

Knowledge of cost modeling, should-cost analysis, and total cost of ownership (TCO) principles.

Location:

This position is located on-site in Longmont, CO.

Base Compensation:

$100,000 – 115,000 is the projected range of annual base salary for this role depending on the candidate’s overall qualifications and experience.
