Position Overview
Sourcing Commodity Leader
at
Stored Energy Systems LLC (SENS)
– award‑winning manufacturer of power conversion products in Longmont, CO.
Compensation Base pay range: $100,000 – $115,000 per year. Total compensation includes paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, vision, short‑term disability, life insurance, and 401(k) matching.
Location On‑site, Longmont, CO.
Responsibilities
Drive cost reduction initiatives, benchmarks, and analyses using TCO principles across direct and indirect categories.
Participate in new product development to ensure appropriate supplier selection, total cost, quality, and profitable growth.
Lead supplier evaluation and selection with strategic focus on rapid growth, scalability, capacity, agility, quality, delivery, and competitive pricing.
Negotiate best prices, terms, and contractual agreements consistent with company quality standards.
Monitor and manage supply chain risks, including geopolitical, financial, and operational risks.
Initiate and lead supplier qualification processes, evaluations, and appropriate quality development.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
Experience in fast‑growing, scaling environments with evolving operational frameworks.
Knowledge of and experience managing commodities such as custom metal fabrication, PCB assembly, electro‑mechanical and wiring materials.
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong negotiation skills and experience managing global supplier relationships.
Proficiency with sourcing tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SyteLine).
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
CPSM, CSCP, or similar supply chain certification.
Knowledge of cost modeling, should‑cost analysis, and TCO principles.
