Job Summary The position requires coordinating the maintenance team Mechanic‑Planner with the requested parts to complete the jobs on time. The Maintenance Inventory Control Clerk ensures maintenance technicians have the necessary spare parts to make work orders available. The clerk is also expected to schedule cycle counting of the items available at the maintenance shop inventory and implement maximum and minimum levels to minimize equipment downtime and impact production. The role deals with different levels of mechanical skills and operates in a cold and hot environment where equipment is installed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain and improve overall inventory control of spare and replacement parts for use by maintenance and production departments.
Manage processes for parts ordering, tracking, storage and retrieval to improve maintenance efficiency, accountability and accuracy.
Develop and drive improvement in key storeroom metrics.
Ensure high vendor delivery performance and negotiate fair pricing for goods and services.
Perform inventory transactions using the CMMS system to support parts receipts, issues and adjustments.
Ensure parts delivery dates are met and expedite orders as required.
Track and send rebuildable spares to rebuilds.
Perform cycle counts regularly to ensure accuracy of stated on hand inventory values.
Analyze and manage inventory stocking levels and ordering rules to minimize material costs while maintaining sufficient stock to reduce equipment downtime.
Monitor record integrity to ensure accurate vendor, specification and cost information.
Kits together parts for technicians as part of the preparation process for planned work.
Generate inventory‑related reports as required.
Manage the Equipment Disposal Order (EDO) process and coordinate elimination of obsolete parts.
Receive, stock, and store parts received in the storeroom and other storage areas as appropriate.
Maintain a safe stockroom area with reasonable access to all parts.
Required Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
5+ years of maintenance/facilities inventory control management.
Food manufacturing experience preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn maintenance management systems.
2+ years of CMMS experience strongly preferred.
Forklift Certified or ability to obtain forklift certification.

Pay Range for Inventory Control Clerk The Inventory Control Clerk base pay range is $25-28 USD/hourly. The listed salary range represents Kettle Cuisine’s good faith estimate for this position and represents the minimum and maximum for new hire salaries for the Lynn, MA location only. Ranges will be reviewed on a regular basis. An employee’s rate of pay within the range is determined by their qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated performance over time. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. The Inventory Control Clerk position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package and is eligible for the annual discretionary bonus program up to 5%.
