Our client is a global publicly traded investment fund with over $150 billion in assets under management. The firm invests in private equity, real estate, and infrastructure.

We are looking for a Project Development Manager for a new project to build a hyperscale data center in central Poland.

A DC Project Development Manager is responsible for overseeing a project from start to finish, ensuring it’s completed on time and within budget. He manage all phases of the project, including budget control, site design, and construction oversight, while also coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal teams to meet quality standards and project goals. Key duties include developing schedules, managing budgets, monitoring progress, and handling any issues that arise.

Key responsibilities

Project lifecycle management:

Manage all phases of a project, from initial planning, design, and construction to the final handover to operations.

Site development:

Monitoring the permitting process, and ensure site development aligns with project goals.

Budget and cost control:

Develop and manage the project budget, track costs, forecast expenses, and ensure financial goals are met.

Schedule management:

Create and manage detailed construction and commissioning schedules.

Team and resource coordination:

Assign and manage internal and external resources, including subcontractors and vendors, to maintain project momentum.

Stakeholder coordination:

Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, including investor, landowners, utility providers, engineering teams, and local authorities.

Technical and compliance oversight:

Ensure projects adhere to all relevant technical requirements, building codes and company policies.

Quality and compliance:

Ensure all work complies with Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE), and Quality standards.

Risk and issue management: Identify and mitigate risks, and take corrective actions to address any issues that arise during construction.

Progress monitoring:

Monitor progress at every stage, from mechanical and electrical installation to final handover.

Required skills and qualifications

Education:

University degree preferred in project management, construction, engineering or related.

Experience:

At least 5 years of experience in leading large‑scale development projects, preferably in the data center industry and other mission‑critical sectors.

Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of data center technologies, power management systems, and construction‑related regulations and codes. Knowledge of data center market.

Project management expertise: Proficiency in managing all aspects of a project, from start to finish.

Leadership and communication: Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to guide project teams and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Problem‑solving: Strong problem‑solving abilities and a hands‑on mentality. Result‑oriented, proactive approach, and high sense of ethics.

Languages:

Fluent Polish and English (at least B2 level required).

Mobility:

Driving license and willing to travel frequently.
