Key Responsibilities
Scheduling
Plan all production activity for Operations team, daily entry of orders to meet customer demand, lining up production schedule for each of the production lines, and other responsibilities to keep production running at optimal levels
Raw materials planning to align requirements with materials on hand, working with purchasing for expedites and other adjustments to the schedule
Release production packets to the floor with labels, work orders, and coordinate with Engineering and Quality for tooling and samples with production orders
Metrics / Performance
Track production to the schedule working with Operations team. Identify pace of production to plan and actions needed to ensure weekly production plan is achieved
OTD, Past Due, Service level, and other key metrics – work with other functional teams to drive performance and continuous improvement
Coordinate with shipping and sales to prioritize daily ship list and any priorities
Problem Solving
Identify opportunities for improvement or issues that are impacting the business. Work with the team to identify corrective actions to mitigate the impact and permanently correct the issue
Develop alternate solutions, make recommendations for action, take ownership of issues or potential issues escalating for support as needed. Champion and voice of the customer, take ownership and responsibility for open customer orders and the planning process
SIOP
Partner with Materials Manager to develop and utilize sales forecast as a production planning tool. Work with Operations to identify bottlenecks, potential bottlenecks and develop plans to mitigate and correct underlying issues
Communication and ownership of the production schedule with the Sales and Operations teams. Clear, concise and transparent sharing and communication of data defining situation or opportunity with recommendations on actions needed or actions to take
Work with all functional areas to develop 3-year plan to drive significant growth – capacity needed, manpower requirements, material requirements
Analyze current capacity and demand, based on data make recommendations for short and long term actions to optimize production and exceed customer expectations
ERP
Integral part of implementation team for Dynamics 365 implementation in late 2026. Work with team to identify and set up parameters for planning, and testing system
Create and document standard work for planning, work with team on training and supporting when going live
Capacity planning to identify bottlenecks, recommendations to take action and expedite as needed to ensure customer demand remains at the forefront of our decision-making process and prioritized appropriately to manage competing demands

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain or Operations in a manufacturing environment (wire & cable experience preferred)
Experience with MRP/ERP systems and utilize MS Office (excel, word, Outlook)
Key Competencies
Understanding of manufacturing
Strong knowledge of supply chain planning and inventory control
Experience with KPIs and dashboard reporting
Preferred Skills
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and Lean Manufacturing principles
APICS or similar supply chain certification (CPIM, CSCP) preferred
Microsoft Dynamics and InnoVites added plus
