Logistics Specialist (Entry Level)
We are assisting an expanding Charlotte corporate office in seeking a Logistics Specialist to join their Logistics and Transportation team. You will be supporting and being mentored by the Senior Logistics Specialist. Great benefits including annual bonus and 401K with salary up to $50k.
Responsibilities
Contact the appropriate carriers including railcars, trucking companies
Adjust customer orders when necessary
Reroute shipmentsProcessing returns in order to return products to appropriate location
Track and update shipments in customers portal
Communicating with external and internal customers regarding shipments
Monitor and communicate with management inappropriate charges from carriers
Communicate transportation cost with customers
Maintain and create reports pertaining to transportation costs in Excel
Provide management with weekly carrier "on-time" data
Process payments for carriers
Requirements
Bachelors Degree
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Microsoft Office Excel
Excellent communication skills both written or verbal
