Accela Nursing & Rehabilitation in Glenside, PA is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Central Supply Technician to support our clinical and operational teams. This role is essential to ensuring that nursing units are properly stocked with medical supplies, PPE, and equipment so our caregivers can focus on what matters most — resident care. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working behind the scenes to keep the facility running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain, organize, and distribute medical supplies, PPE, and equipment throughout the facility
Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely restocking of nursing units and departments
Receive, unpack, label, and properly store delivered supplies
Track supply usage and report low stock or backorder issues to leadership
Assist with ordering supplies in coordination with nursing leadership and administration
Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of supplies to meet infection control standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the central supply area
Support nursing staff by responding promptly to supply requests
Follow all facility policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
Assist with audits, inventory counts, and supply-related documentation as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior experience in central supply, materials management, healthcare, or long-term care preferred
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to lift, move, and transport supplies (up to 40 lbs)
Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail
