FLOOR TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME) Location: University of North Alabama, 1 Harrison Plaza, Florence, AL 35632 Schedule: Full‑time; days may vary, 6:00 p.m. – 2:30 a.m.; details upon interview.
Job Summary The FLOOR TECHNICIAN is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and operation of industrial floor care equipment.
Essential Functions
Maintain knowledge of hard‑surface floor maintenance principles and apply proper procedures for stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment, including automated systems for large floor surfaces.
Use proper procedures for carpet and upholstery care, including shampooing, damp surface extraction, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
Carry out other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role (preferred).
Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
Ability to follow safety procedures.
Capacity to frequently lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
