Aircraft Maintenance Technician Overview:
The primary responsibilities of the Aircraft Maintenance Technician is ensuring the ongoing airworthiness of the Sun Country Airlines fleet of aircraft. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair aircraft to Sun Country Airlines standards.
Correctly complete paperwork for maintenance performed on aircraft.
Enter all log items, NRTCs, and task cards into TRAX.
Identify and report problems that could impact daily maintenance operations.
Communicate with Maintenance Station Supervisor during all maintenance procedures.
Maintain an up-to-date OJT file.
Assist with training of newly hired individuals, as necessary.
Accomplish housekeeping of maintenance facilities, as required.
Move and park aircraft as operations warrant.
Move and position ground equipment as needed for the maintenance operation.
Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country Airlines.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
A&P license required
Must be highly motivated and a self-starter
Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving skills
Work effectively with minimal supervision under stressful situations
Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving skills
Qualified candidates must pass a criminal history background check as well as a pre-employment drug test
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be able to obtain SIDA badge.
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years line maintenance preferred
2 years 737NG jet experience preferred
2 years experience in aircraft structural repair preferred
Valid US Passport preferred
Compensation:
$35.94 USD per hour along with a shift differential and sign-on bonus. This is the base compensation hiring range for this role.

This job operates in the maintenance hangar and ramp area. This role is routinely exposed to all weather elements.
Physical Demands:
Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking. Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching. Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds. Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
