Position: Statewide Organizing Manager (Full time) The Statewide Organizing Manager will support the organizing efforts of both the North Carolina Black Alliance and Advance North Carolina by managing the organizing staff, leading the implementation of established strategies, supporting members of the organizing team, and collaborating with other departments to achieve identified goals. The scope of work also includes tracking team progress and voter engagement data during the 2026 primary and general election seasons.

Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership and Management

Supervise, coach and evaluate a team of county organizers (NCBA) and Regional Organizing Managers (ANC)

Establish clear goals and objectives in partnership with the executive director and deputy director for the organizing team to ensure the advancement of our get out the vote (GOTV) and electoral work

Conduct regular check-ins with members of the team, including 1:1s and team calls

Provide direct support to the organizing team, especially with the implementation of advocacy efforts

Coordinating with regional organizing managers, county organizers and Data Coordinator to track and confirm base building data (i.e., 1:1s, Community events, etc.)

Coordinating with the Data Coordinator to ensure raw data is being tracked appropriately through our internal organizational system and external platforms such as Everyaction, Jotforms, VAN, etc.

Provide routine check-in reports and data updates to the Deputy Director and Executive Director

Support the team in the verification process to ensure the integrity of the data reported on behalf of the team

This role will report directly to the Deputy Director of North Carolina Black Alliance and the Executive Director of Advance North Carolina

Regional Organizing Managers will report directly to this role. County Organizers will report directly to Regional Organizing Managers

On the Ground Programming and Advocacy

Oversee implementation of advocacy initiatives across the state, and in partnership with the programmatic priorities of NCBA

Oversee the development and implementation of our GOTV portfolio and our political organizing portfolio, in partnership with Date Coordinator, Executive Director and Deputy Director

This includes phonebanking, canvassing, base building, accountability efforts, events etc.

Ensure all materials and resources are up to date, in partnership with Marketing and Communications Director and Deputy Director

Roving scan of canvassers as needed

Coordinate with Operations to ensure our phone banking efforts continue to be in alignment with the overall DVC and organizing goals

Partner with the Operations Team to ensure the organizing team is fully resourced, following processes, procedure and protocols to run an efficient program

Training, Coalition and Event

Manage the seasonal training coordinator to ensure accuracy of GOTV training materials and education

Support the coordination of GOTV and political advocacy events spearheaded by the organizing team

Support and help to maintain coalition relationships (i.e. Democracy Advocates, Blueprint NC, America Votes NC etc.)

Election Protection

Additional support will be mutually determined by both parties. This role will report to the Executive Director of Advance Carolina and Deputy Director of North Carolina Black Alliance.

Material Coordination (organizing team)

EP Trainings (seasonal training coordinator)

Recruitment support for Poll Monitoring and D9 and Faith Jumpstart (county organizers)

Education & Qualifications:

Proven work experience, preferably in a 501c3 nonprofit organization (3+ years)

Familiarity with the way nonprofit organizations are structured.

Ability to self-motivate, work with both close direction and independently, function well as a team member, and know when to seek guidance or get help.

Strong interpersonal skills, experience meeting deadlines and the ability to multitask while maintaining a calm, professional work style.

Proficient in Microsoft and Google Workspace applications.
