Position Summary
The Shift Supervisor Trainee is an entry‑level, short‑term role that prepares a candidate for future supervisory responsibilities such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee completes basic operations and management training and learns key aspects of CVS/pharmacy culture, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service.
Essential Functions
Manage and work effectively with store management and crews.
Supervise the store’s crew by assigning tasks, directing work, and following up on activities.
Communicate information between management and crews.
Assist customers with inquiries, problems, and complaints.
Promote the CVS customer service culture (greeting, offering help, thanking).
Handle all customer relations issues in accordance with company policy and promote a positive shopping experience for all CVS customers.
Maintain customer/patient confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, and computer literacy.
Advanced communication skills.
Flexibility to work early morning, overnight, and weekend shifts and overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in retail.
Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred (not required).
