Project Manager
– TEKsystems, Charlotte, NC (Contract)
Overview Responsible for establishing and managing projects to collectively deliver desired business outcomes. The Project Manager leads a variety of projects using methodologies such as large‑scale application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrade deployments. They may manage multiple projects and have end‑to‑end responsibility for the work effort, leading both technology and non‑technology initiatives. The role partners closely with Line of Business Change Management teams, providing updates on technology deliverables and serving as the primary point of escalation for technology issues.
Responsibilities
Plan, organize, monitor, and control projects using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure efficient and effective completion.
Develop and socialize risk mitigation strategies.
Communicate with managers, peers, and business partners about deliverables, timelines, and support needed.
Partner with the business to develop transition plans and sustain the change.
Responsible for financials and project documents.
Guide projects through all phases, ensuring required standards, processes, and tracking systems are followed.
Develop and manage the project plan, assign, track, escalates, and resolve issues.
Schedule and facilitate regular meetings, formulate agendas, document minutes and action items.
Provide status updates on deliverables and escalations to senior leaders and executives.
Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of end‑to‑end project management experience.
Strong project management skills with ability to lead a team and drive results.
Strong change management skills/experience.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
Strong project financial management skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Experience with Agile Scrum Master or RTE.
Familiarity with SAFe 4.0 (or higher).
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
PMP certification is a plus.
Experience working in a financial industry is a plus.
Local candidates only (Charlotte office).
Compensation & Benefits Pay range: $60.00–$70.00 per hour.
