Central Purchasing and Logistics (CP&L) is a financial entity that works interdependently to support Indiana University (IU) Dining and Hospitality with their everyday important mission to deliver quality service to our students and faculty.
Job Summary
Processes purchase requests in IU's procurement system, Buy.IU
Places online orders and processing expense reports in Emburse
Reviews invoices for accuracy
Answers questions related to purchases, policies, and processes
Communicates with suppliers and internal customers regarding purchases
Collaborates with the Student Life and Auxiliaries Shared Services purchasing team to improve processes
Qualifications Education Required
High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
Work Experience Preferred
Purchasing experience
Experience with IU systems and policies
Skills Required
Proficient written and verbal communication skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, and follow procedures
Working Conditions / Demands This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Work Hours 20-29 hours per week
