Cadrex Manufacturing Solutions Cadrex is searching for a Quality Inspector II to directly support site manufacturing practices through development, evaluation, and continual improvement of processes using quality concepts, principles, and methodologies with the goal of consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations of quality. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Use measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, steel rulers, pin gauges, surface plate, and height gauge Read and interpret blueprints Perform visual inspection of products according to customer requirements Inspect and test in‑process and finished products Document inspection results by completing required reports/logs Identify and quarantine all non‑conforming product Generate and summarize non‑conforming reports for discrepant product Maintain measurement equipment by following operating instructions and address issues that may need repair Inspect and approve incoming materials, confirming they meet specifications Attend department meetings as required Inspect and release products for shipping, ensuring proper documentation or certifications as outlined by customer requirements (visual & dimensional verification may be required) Learn and assist with dimensional verification of PPAP and 1‑st article parts Create internal Control Plans in accordance with customer and Advanced Laser requirements Operate FARO & Micro‑Vu measurement equipment Assist the production floor by interpreting and developing manufacturing documentation and providing proper measuring techniques Assist with calibration procedures and provide calibration of measuring equipment as outlined by site procedures and ISO Standard Lead and train Level I inspectors as needed to increase performance Train, identify, and implement lean process and project improvements QUALIFICATIONS
Understand industry safety standards and quality expectations 3 or more years working in a metal fabrication environment under a continuous improvement QMS with hands‑on inspection experience preferred Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees Perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure; compute rates, ratios, and percentages; interpret graphs Knowledge of Word processing, spreadsheet, e‑mail software, and internet usage EDUCATION
High school diploma Associate degree in related field preferred LOCATION
