Associate Pastor – Kalona Mennonite Church
Kalona Mennonite Church, a family‑oriented congregation in Kalona, Iowa, seeks a full‑time Associate Pastor to support our vision of life‑giving ministry and the Great Commission. Responsibilities
Preach approximately 50% of the time and lead worship themes. Assist the Lead Pastor in planning worship, special services, and ordinances. Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and Elders on age‑appropriate engagement and training for lay leadership. Provide pastoral support, training, and resources to lay leaders. Attend Church Council meetings, serve on committees, and work effectively with staff, Elders, and volunteers. Qualifications & Core Competencies
Deeply grounded in the biblical story and text. Promote Anabaptist theology and hold to the Mennonite Confession of Faith 1995. Committed to personal spiritual discipline and growth. Willingness to pursue credentialing/ordination through the EVANA Network. Post‑secondary education in ministry/theology preferred, but not required. Experience in ministry, leadership, and witness. Desirable Abilities
Involved in new membership classes, bible studies, retreats, and missions. Resource for the music program and supportive community interactions. Ability to remain focused on the vision of Kalona Mennonite Church. Benefits
