Transportation Specialist – Driver at Sierra Meadows Behavioral Health
The Transportation Specialist at Tatum Psychology Employment Group is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and professional transportation services for clients, staff and materials as needed. The Specialist ensures compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations while maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of company vehicles. The role supports client care by ensuring timely arrivals, assisting passengers when needed, and adapting to dynamic schedules and routes. Excellent time management, professionalism, and a commitment to safety, customer service, and operational excellence are essential.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.
Essential Functions
Safe Driving & Navigation – Consistently demonstrate safe and responsible driving practices.
Compliance – Follow all applicable state and federal traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Route Management – Navigate efficiently using assigned routes, maps, and GPS directions.
Adaptive Rerouting – Execute timely rerouting to maintain punctuality and reliability.
Passenger Assistance – Open vehicle doors and help passengers as necessary.
Vehicle Loading & Unloading – Safely load and secure cargo, luggage, and equipment; manage process to meet schedule.
Vehicle Cleanliness & Presentation – Keep exterior and interior pristine, clear windows, mirrors, and windshield.
Vehicle Maintenance & Safety – Conduct routine checks and perform basic maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fueling, and safety inspections.
Documentation & Reporting – Complete trip logs, mileage records, and cargo or passenger reports accurately.
Additional Functions
Perform other duties as assigned.
Follow and support TPEG policies and procedures.
Collaborate with internal and external partners.
Represent TPEG, Inc. by embodying the mission, vision, and values.
Occasional travel during workday and overnight stays (compensation provided).
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
Recommend new tactics and strategies.
Pursue continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience working with culturally diverse individuals and communities; demonstrated commitment to equity and diversity initiatives.
Written and oral communication sufficient to perform essential functions.
Independent decision‑making, initiative, judgment, and integrity with confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
Excellent time‑management and ability to perform multiple tasks accurately and timely.
Team leadership capabilities.
Proficiency in word processing and database/spreadsheet applications.
Physical and mental attributes sufficient to perform essential functions.
Preferred Qualifications
One year of professional driving experience.
Proficient in English.
Strong communication skills.
Working Conditions
Work settings vary between offices, program sites, and stakeholder locations.
Travel may involve company or personal transportation.
