General Description Of The Position
The Intake Coordinator at Tatum Psychology Employment Group manages the registration process of patients on an as‑needed basis. The Intake Coordinator gathers patient records, takes medical histories, and obtains any insurance information from the patient.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Essential Functions
Patient Intake & Administrative Support: schedules appointments for intakes in a timely manner; thoroughly gather necessary personal, medical, and insurance/financial information from the patient and/or patient’s family members at the intake meeting.
Completed patient record for all new admissions and performs clerical work such as filing, copying, and faxing documents.
Program Knowledge & Patient Communication: speaks knowledgeably about TPEG and its programs; answers questions as needed.
Policy, Compliance & Quality Assurance: follows all clinical objectives, standards, policies, and procedures; ensures compliance with regulatory standards and community standards of care; participates in company quality improvement activities.
Team Collaboration: participates in interdisciplinary staff meetings with other professional staff members as needed.
Additional Functions
Performs other duties as may be assigned; follows and supports TPEG policies and procedures.
Works collaboratively and cooperatively with internal and external partners.
Represents TPEG, Inc., by embodying the mission, vision and values of the organization.
Travels occasionally during the workday and on occasional overnight stays (compensation for mileage, food and lodging provided).
Maintains regular attendance at work and company activities; demonstrates punctuality regarding deadlines.
Displays creativity and vision in recommending new tactics and strategies.
Expands and updates job knowledge through educational opportunities and professional learning.

Requirements – Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Related Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience.
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with culturally diverse individuals and communities; commitment to strengthening engagement of a diverse community and skill in communicating with diverse populations.
Familiarity with equity and/or diversity initiatives.
Written and oral communication skills sufficient to perform essential functions.
Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently; use initiative to accomplish complex assignments with general instruction and guidance.
Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment and integrity with confidentiality, tact and diplomacy.
Demonstrated ability to organize time and resources to perform multiple tasks.
Demonstrated ability to complete work accurately and in a timely manner with attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to work well with others and provide effective team leadership.
Proficiency in word processing and database/spreadsheet applications.
Physical and mental attributes sufficient to perform essential functions.
Demonstrated ability to recognize merit, excellence and intelligence in staff and potential employees.
Valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in mental health or a related field.
Proficiency in English Language.
Proficient communicator.
Working Conditions
Work settings vary from offices, program sites, and stakeholder locations.
Travel may include use of company or personal transportation.
Salary: $22,000 - $26,000
