Based at the Roslin Innovation Centre in Edinburgh, we’re expanding into the US and seeking a
Laboratory Operations Manager
to lead our new facility in Atlanta.
About the Role This is a rare opportunity to shape the operational foundation of our US laboratory.
Establish and manage a new laboratory, storage, and production facility.
Lead, manage, and develop a team of technicians and scientists, ensuring smooth daily operations.
Coordinate lab activities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of experiments, tests and analyses.
Maintain and manage equipment in the lab environment.
Oversee compliance with safety and quality standards.
Drive innovation by collaborating on R&D projects and implementing new methodologies.
Manage budgets, resources, and procurement to optimize efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related field (Master’s/Ph.D. preferred).
5+ years in biotech/microbiology labs, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of lab techniques, equipment, and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience with fermentation or mycology.
Background in start‑up environments.
Laboratory management training.
