Coordinate with HQ Division of Transportation Planning (DOTP) Active Transportation & Complete Streets (AT&CS) and Strategic Investment Planning on active transportation project nominations for non‑SHOPP and SHOPP funding programs. Develop a pipeline of active transportation projects with district and headquarters, advancing projects through development, delivery and construction phases. Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify active transportation needs and concepts. Conduct studies or analyses related to complete streets and active transportation. Lead public engagement efforts for program and project development. Serve as lead for state Active Transportation Program (ATP) development and delivery, fostering AT&CS network connections locally. Qualifications
Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills. Leadership and organizational abilities with a commitment to equity. Experience working with multiple stakeholders (local agencies, state agencies, non‑profits, tribes, etc.) to achieve shared goals. Knowledge of active transportation, complete streets, and related funding mechanisms. Eligibility determined by Associate Transportation Planner/Transportation Planner exam; new to state candidates must be on the state examination list. Working Conditions
Position may be eligible for telework; telework amount is discretionary and based on evolving policy. In‑person attendance required as needed by operations. Business travel may be required. All commute expenses to the headquarters are the responsibility of the employee. Contact Information
