Raytheon Aircraft Maintenance Manager
Raytheon Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist to join our Raytheon Flight Test Operations (FTO) team. This role supports multiple functions in the planning and execution of aircraft maintenance activities.
This is an onsite role based in Tucson, Arizona with occasional travel up to 20%.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date; U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities
Coordinate daily, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance activities with engineering and flight operations.
Serve as the IA for Raytheon test aircraft (CL601 and C206), ensuring all maintenance actions meet regulatory and airworthiness standards.
Participate in major aircraft modifications, working directly with DERs, DARs, and other regulatory partners.
Maintain required FAA documentation and approval packages, including Form 337s and 8110s.
Coordinate logistics and planning for off-site maintenance events, inspections, and modification activities.
Perform work in classified and SAP environments.
Travel up to 20% to support flight test deployments or technical interchange meetings.
Obtain and maintain a SAP Top Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
Qualifications You Must Have
University degree or equivalent experience with minimum 8 years relevant experience.
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate with current Inspection Authorization (IA).
5 or more years of progressively responsible aircraft maintenance experience, including heavy maintenance, major repairs/modifications, or fleet support.
Experience with FAA regulatory processes, including Form 337s, 8110 approvals, major alterations, STCs, DER/DAR coordination, and conformity inspections.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
Qualifications We Prefer
Prior experience in defense, government contracting, or special-mission aircraft operations.
Familiarity with flight test or experimental aircraft support.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under time pressure.
Proficiency with digital maintenance tracking systems (e.g., CAMP, Corridor, IFS, Ramco).
Leadership ability focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Top Secret Security Clearance.
Experience working classified and SAP programs.
