Job Description The Supervisor - Quality Assurance is responsible for supervising the Quality Assurance activities for the plant to include syrup and/or beverage preparation and distribution, microbiology, sanitation, finished product analysis, package integrity testing, process control, and all current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) are being followed. Also ensures Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) 22000 and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 principals are adhered to including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Food Safety and Food Defense.

What your day will look like:

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable laws

Interview, hire, and train associates

Plan, assign, and direct work

Appraise performance

Address complaints and resolve problems

Builds positive associate morale

Supervises day to day environmental compliance including data gathering of stormwater and wastewater information, hazardous material management for the QA Department, and the auditing thereof

Ensures local, state, federal, and Coca-Cola quality standards are met for products produced by the facility

Maintains the Coca-Cola/Parent Company Quality Standards and supervises associates who do the same

Investigates and reports on plant-specific consumer complaints and performs trend analysis. Reports findings to plant Management

Supervises the efforts of the Plant including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plan, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) compliance, International Organization for Standardization (ISO) compliance, auditing, and corrective action planning activities

Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

What you need to succeed:

Minimum age 18 years old

Valid driver's license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies

Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job

Ability to read, write and speak English

Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines

Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets

Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology

Strong leadership and organizational skills

Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates

Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) Certification preferred

Corrective Action and Root Cause Analysis Training preferred

SAP and Coca-Cola One North America (CONA) experience preferred

Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Experience in operations and manufacturing operations preferred

Extensive experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting various lab equipment used in Quality Assurance

Ability to work in high stress environments and multitask effectively

Excellent customer service, and quality management skills

Effective use of technical skills to analyze and, problem-solve

Ability to facilitate training

Physical Requirements Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
