Position Purpose Ensures a clean, safe, and beautiful environment for guests throughout the Casa de Fruta property.
Responsibilities
Perform general landscape maintenance (mowing, trimming, weeding, mulching, pruning)
Install trees, shrubs, flowers, sod, and other plants according to design plans
Operate and maintain landscaping equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge cutters)
Assist with hardscaping tasks (laying pavers, building retaining walls, installing irrigation systems)
Remove debris and ensure the cleanliness of job sites
Always follow safety procedures and guidelines
Communicate with clients and team members to ensure work meets expectations
Report issues, delays, or supply shortages to supervisors
Qualifications
Prior landscaping or groundskeeping experience preferred
Familiarity with common landscape tools and machinery
Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical labor
Basic understanding of plant care and landscape design principles
Valid driver’s license (preferred or required based on company)
Special Position Requirements:
Any hazard, risk, security issue or related special conditions which apply to the position, i.e. chemicals used, equipment used, etc.
Must be able to safely operate motorized vehicles (company truck, golf cart), large power tools (string‑trimmer, jack‑hammer, chain saws, hedge trimmer, etc.) and small power tools (roto‑hammer, trimmer, etc.).
Able to do tasks ambidextrously (weeding, trimming, raking, sweeping, operate hose, etc.).
Some exposure to cleaning products (graffiti remover, paint remover, paint, weed killer and other chemicals).

Power‑assisted landscaping (backpack‑mounted leaf blower, string‑trimmer, power washer) – Frequently
Climbing, working from ladder or stepstool – Frequently
Bending/stooping (pipe repair, retrieving litter, picking up animal waste, raking, watering, weeding, etc.) – Frequently
Kneeling (weeding, planting, pipe repair, etc.) – Frequently
Lifting over 50 lbs. (emptying trash, removing plant and other debris) – Occasionally
Reaching (pruning, etc.) – (optional)
Overhead work (trimming plants and trees, watering hanging plants, etc.) – Frequently
Other tasks, including painting, minor maintenance and/or repair – Occasionally
