Base pay range $83,600.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr
Job Description Join J.P. Morgan’s Corporate Advisory group to help clients enhance their impact in the global economy. We offer comprehensive advice and capital solutions, collaborating with teams across the Commercial & Investment Bank and Corporate Sustainability. Our six sub-businesses, including Corporate Finance and Climate Advisory, provide centralized access to sustainability-focused solutions. As a business manager, you'll optimize performance, influence strategic initiatives, and mitigate risks, adapting to the priorities of various business lines.
As the Business Manager supporting the Corporate Advisory group within the Investment Bank, you will be interfacing with a variety of internal counterparts across the firm. The role is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a broad spectrum of businesses, multiple asset classes across geographies, including working closely on the Firm’s Sustainable Development and financing decarbonization goals. You will work closely with the business as well as functional partners and multiple stakeholders. You will support the business in a broad range of areas and this responsibility will involve effective coordination with key stakeholders across the firm. You will need to establish a large network throughout all functions supporting the business: Risk, Legal, Compliance, Business Control, Technology, Chief Data Office, Finance, and others. This is a time-pressured and high-profile position which is instrumental in assisting/advising senior management and in coordinating the deployment of the bank’s corporate resources to address strategic and tactical objectives.
Job Responsibilities
Liaise with Front Office, Sustainability team, Strategy team, Risk, Finance/Controllers, Compliance, Legal and other internal functions
Provide leverage to the management and execution of priorities including developing business processes and controls, technology solutions ideas and project management
Support the Global Business Manager as a trusted advisor to the heads of Corporate Advisory verticals, and represents the group on various forums
Lead Business Performance Management - business reviews, competitive positioning, resource management, vendor management
Proactively highlights and resolves issues and risks that impact the business, liaising closely with firm wide risk, control and legal & compliance functions
Understand process and governance of existing market and climate related data management frameworks within the Firm and identifies synergy and scalability opportunities
Required Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills
Experience with or interest in Investment Banking, sustainability, climate transition and adaptation
Robust understanding of Investment Banking products, and broader CIB products and decision-making processes
Relevant professional qualifications in finance, accounting, economics or equivalent experience
Excellent analytical, critical thinking and quantitative analysis skills; proficient in Excel modelling and comfortable working with large datasets
Very strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
Ability to convey information clearly, accurately and succinctly (both written and verbally) with strong attention to detail and high quality of work
Ability to excel and maintain a positive attitude in a high-performance, fast-paced professional environment
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively and professionally in a small team and with senior stakeholders
Ability to draft high-impact presentations and documentation
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
Strong time management skills with ability to manage multiple projects and time sensitive deliverables
