Our client is expanding their engineering organization and is seeking a skilled
Project Manager
to support a growing portfolio of engineering and product development initiatives. This role plays a critical part in driving cross-functional collaboration, managing complex engineering programs, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
This opportunity is ideal for a project management professional who thrives in structured, stage-gate environments and enjoys working at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, and business operations.
Projects You’ll Work On
Engineering and new product development programs within consumer-focused markets
Capital equipment (CAPEX) projects supporting manufacturing and operational growth
Cross-functional initiatives involving engineering, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and finance
Stage-Gate–driven development programs from concept through launch
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Lead and coordinate Engineers, Designers, Technicians, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful execution of engineering programs
Support project scoping and feasibility analysis during early-stage Business Gates (Gate 1 & 2)
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations
Manage scope, schedule, and budget changes using formal change management processes
Track and report project performance using established KPIs and project management tools
Facilitate regular project meetings and provide clear, timely updates to leadership
Identify project risks early and conduct continuous risk assessments with mitigation strategies
Serve as the primary point of contact across sales, marketing, manufacturing, quality, service, purchasing, and finance
Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation and records
Continuously build technical knowledge to better anticipate challenges and drive timely solutions
What Experience You Should Bring
5+ years of successful project management experience, preferably within consumer products
Hands‑on experience using
Stage‑Gate methodology
to manage development programs
Demonstrated leadership experience guiding cross‑functional teams
Exposure to or understanding of engineering and product development environments (engineering degree not required, but a plus)
Experience managing program schedules, CAPEX projects, and formal risk assessments
Strong communication skills, including executive‑level presentations and stakeholder updates
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management software (MS Project or similar)
Preferred Qualifications
Background in HVAC/R or related consumer product industries
Master’s degree in Business
PMP certification
(highly preferred)
