Position Purpose We are seeking a strategic and analytical Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Manager to lead the integrated planning process for our North America construction equipment business. This role is pivotal in aligning demand forecasts with supply capabilities, optimizing inventory, and ensuring cross‑functional collaboration to meet business objectives.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

Lead and facilitate the monthly S&OP process, ensuring alignment across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain.

Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and input from commercial teams.

Collaborate with manufacturing and procurement teams to align supply plans with demand forecasts.

Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities in the supply‑demand balance and recommend mitigation strategies.

Drive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy, inventory optimization, and service levels.

Support new product introductions and phase‑outs through integrated planning.

Prepare and present S&OP dashboards and reports to senior leadership.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Forecast Accuracy (%): Measure of how closely the forecast aligns with actual sales.

Inventory Turns: Efficiency of inventory usage across product lines.

Customer Service Level (%): Percentage of orders fulfilled on time and in full.

Supply Plan Adherence: Alignment of actual production with planned supply.

Excess & Obsolete Inventory (%): Value of inventory not aligned with demand.

On‑Time Delivery (OTD): Percentage of shipments delivered as scheduled.

Working Capital Impact: Effectiveness of planning in managing inventory investment.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.

5+ years of experience in S&OP, demand planning, or supply chain management, ideally in the construction equipment or heavy machinery sector.

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and planning tools (e.g., Kinaxis, Anaplan, Netstock).

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive consensus.

Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies

Proficient in Microsoft Office software.

Comfortable in an in‑person office environment.

Technical competence is a plus.

Must be customer service oriented, flexible, and have a high energy level.

Must have excellent follow‑through skills.

Must have a professional, polished, and sophisticated demeanor and be comfortable in most social settings.

Must be open to domestic and international travel.

Desire and proven ability to learn and grow.

Job Conditions

Both office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory environment.

Subject to noise and temperature changes.

Physical Requirements

Sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
