Business Development Manager (Orthodontics)

Position Summary The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving adoption of Medit Ortho’s technology within orthodontic and dental markets. This role combines strategic business development, consultative selling, and field engagement to accelerate growth and expand our presence across North America.
This is a field‑based role (with up to 30% travel) that also leverages virtual tools, webinars, and CRM‑driven engagement to extend Medit Ortho’s reach and efficiency. The ideal candidate thrives in both in‑person and virtual environments and is motivated by innovation, autonomy, and performance.
Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales Execution
Identify and develop new business opportunities across orthodontic and dental markets, including individual practices, group practices, and DSOs
Present and sell Medit Ortho solutions to clinicians, practice managers, and executives through both in‐person and virtual channels
Consistently achieve and exceed individual and regional sales targets
Strategic Partnerships & Market Growth
Lead high‑value negotiations and partnerships with key accounts and strategic organizations
Help design and execute scalable sales funnel processes, including virtual training and engagement sessions
Represent Medit Ortho at regional and national trade shows, conferences, and events to build brand awareness and generate leads
Customer Success & Retention
Deliver outstanding onboarding, education, and post‑sale support to ensure long‑term client satisfaction
Partner with Clinical Account Managers and cross‑functional teams to refine territory strategy and drive client success
Act as a trusted advisor to orthodontic practices, supporting clinical and operational decision‑making
Work cross‑functionally with Marketing, Product, and Operations to refine go‑to‑market messaging and customer programs
Maintain accurate and current records in CRM (HubSpot), providing reports, forecasts, and field insights to leadership
Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field)
Experience
5+ years of successful sales experience in orthodontic, dental, or medical device industries
Proven track record in consultative B2B selling with complex, multi‑stakeholder decision processes
Experience introducing disruptive technologies in competitive markets preferred
Prior team mentorship or leadership experience is a plus

Excellent communication and presentation ability, both virtual and in‑person
Comfortable engaging with clinicians, staff, and executive‑level decision‑makers
Highly organized, analytical, and self‑motivated
Proficient in CRM systems (HubSpot, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite
Travel
Up to 40% domestic travel, including overnight stays
