Business Development Representative (BDR)
Formance is seeking an energetic Business Development Representative (BDR) to accelerate our growth and be a driving force in our sales engine.
As a BDR, you’ll play a critical role in our go-to-market strategy: identifying and qualifying high-potential leads, initiating meaningful conversations with prospects, and building the foundation for long‑term customer relationships. You'll be the first point of contact for many of our future customers and a key voice representing Formance in the market.
You’ll work closely with our Account Executives, Product, and Marketing teams to refine messaging, test outreach strategies, and continuously improve how we connect with the right companies.
What You’ll Do
Sourcing and qualifying new leads across target segments (SaaS platforms, vertical SaaS, fintechs, etc.)
Researching and identifying high‑potential prospects, understanding their use cases and challenges
Crafting thoughtful, personalized outbound messages and campaigns (emails, LinkedIn, video, etc.)
Collaborating closely with the founders and AEs to feed and refine our messaging, and iterate on what works
Running initial discovery calls and handoffs, becoming the first voice of Formance in many conversations
Helping structure a repeatable and scalable outbound motion, turning ad‑hoc tactics into a proven playbook
Logging and analyzing your outreach and results to continuously optimize the process
Who You Are
Over 1+ year of experience in a sales role for a technical product or in product and/or solution engineering at an early‑stage startup (seed to Series B) and/or at an established Payment Services Provider (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Adyen).
Proven intellectual curiosity, drive, and impact in fields beyond sales.
Fluent in English (additional proficiency in French or Spanish is a plus).
Strong enthusiasm for the early stages of co‑creating a product and shaping Formance’s future.
