Overview
St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Mid‑Atlantic, is looking for a Unit Clerk to join our team.

Shift 12 Hour Day Shift
Schedule Per diem tier III days, 7am-7:30pm.
Tier III Requirements: 144 hours within a 6‑week schedule, with 4 shifts on weekends. One winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s) and one spring/summer holiday (Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day) must also be worked.
Responsibilities
Greets visitors, patients, families and physicians and directs them appropriately.
Answers the telephone, directs all calls appropriately, takes an accurate message and delivers it to the appropriate individual.
Maintains communication resources such as the on‑call schedule, MD phone numbers, and beeper numbers.
Demonstrates telephone etiquette.
Answers patients’ call lights and assists patients promptly.
Establishes and maintains open lines of communication with the Nurse Manager and staff.
Communicates any problems, concerns or issues promptly to the Nurse Manager.
Follows written instructions accurately and in a timely manner.
Prepares charts for new admissions, ensuring all required forms are placed appropriately in the chart.
Places laboratory results, test results and other documentation in the appropriate section of the patient’s chart.
