Wound Ostomy Nurse
As our Wound Ostomy Nurse, you will connect our hospital directly to the community, delivering specialized in-home care that empowers patients to heal comfortably and effectively.
Job Summary and Responsibilities Every day you will expertly manage in-home patient visits, performing advanced treatments like PICC line care, wound vacs, and infusions, while educating patients and families on complex conditions and treatments.

Patient Satisfaction: Is a role model for the Hospital's Patient Satisfaction effort, i.e. demonstrates AIDET principles when interacting with customers, subordinates and colleagues.
Develops and implements the hospital's Wound Care Program to include patient care protocols, documentation tools, wound care formulary and WOCN referral criteria.
Established standards of care, competencies, policies and procedures in quality, cost-efficient, and effective wound care for all clinical staff.
Makes recommendations to the medical staff for changes to wound care orders, and provides evidence-based research support as needed.
Provides instruction and guidance, both formally and informally, to staff, and assists in identifying staff learning needs related to wound, ostomy, and continence as appropriate.
Assures that new equipment and procedures are inserviced to all staff members.
Job Requirements Minimum
3 years as a Registered Nurse in an Acute Care setting in the last 5 years.
RNs with subacute experience may be considered based on the complexity of wound care performed within the subacute setting.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
California RN License
BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Within 24 months of hire, the following must be obtained: Wound, Ostomy and Continence Certification (WOCN) or Ostomy Management Specialist Certification (OMS) with Certified Wound Care Certification (CWCN).
Preferred
Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)

Pay Range $64.64 - $83.51 /hour
