The Inpatient Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (WOCN) is responsible for providing specialized nursing care for patients with pressure injuries, chronic and acute wounds, and ostomies. The WOCN will participate in daily wound care team rounds across multiple units, ensuring high-quality care and optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities
Perform assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients with wound and ostomy needs. Educate patients and families on wound care management and ostomy care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and outcomes. Conduct treatments, dressing changes, and other interventions as necessary. Document all care provided and coordinate follow-up care with healthcare professionals. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland. Wound Care Certification (WCC) required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (WOCN) certification preferred. Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in wound care; first-time travelers with strong skills will be considered. Why ARMStaffing?
