Electrical Maintenance Technician - 2ND SHIFT ($3,500 Sign on Bonus)-4 Join B&G Foods Inc. as an Electrical Maintenance Technician on the 2nd shift. This role includes a $3,500 sign‑on bonus.

Responsibilities

Install and repair electrical systems, control, and power distribution components for single and three‑phase systems, following manuals, diagrams, and blueprints using hand and power tools.

Repair and maintain plant machinery and mechanical equipment per operation manuals and manufacturer specifications.

Analyze and diagnose production machinery and equipment malfunctions; service, repair, and replace defective parts.

Diagnose, repair, or replace faulty electrical and electronic components and circuitry in machines and equipment.

Plan layout, install, maintain, repair, or replace wiring, electrical fixtures, control panels, and equipment.

Test and inspect electrical systems and continuity of circuits with ohmmeter, voltmeter, oscilloscope, and other test equipment to ensure safety and compatibility.

Install and connect power supply wiring and conduit to plant machines and equipment.

Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment and document tasks in maintenance records.

Provide technical assistance to the production department during equipment set‑up and changeover.

Maintain sanitary conditions while performing work.

Complete assigned Work Orders, document tasks, and return to Parts Department for closure.

Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, parts, or equipment.

Perform all duties safely, ensuring proper PPE, a clutter‑free workspace, and adherence to safety procedures.

Report unsafe acts and conditions to supervision.

Ensure food safety/quality policies are followed.

All other duties as required.

Experience, Skills & Abilities

Five or more years of related electro‑mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of electrical/electronic theory and its application to repair, installation, and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems.

Sound understanding of mechanical principles, shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining procedures.

Mechanical aptitude, including basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and piping systems.

Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose process problems using job‑specific knowledge.

Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules for mechanical/electrical systems.

Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Supportive behavior that aligns with departmental priorities and company goals.

Maintain good attendance and punctuality.

Commitment to high‑quality workmanship standards.

Compensation Base Pay Range: $27.01 – $45.01 per hour. Final base pay will be determined based on experience, skills, education, location, and internal equity.
