Position Summary
At Walmart, we're seeking a dynamic and experienced Licensed Manager for Facilities Maintenance Operations to oversee the predictive and preventative maintenance of our facilities within a regional area. In this role you will lead a team of dedicated technicians, ensuring our buildings operate efficiently and sustainably while providing a safe and comfortable environment for associates and customers.
Responsibilities
Lead and motivate a team of technicians.
Work directly with Store Managers and Facility Services Leadership on facility services needs.
Collaborate with vendors and contractors as required.
Prepare and analyze reporting and analytics related to maintenance performance.
Maintain up‑to‑date contractor licenses to ensure good standing with relevant authorities.
Conduct site inspections to monitor regulatory compliance and quality standards.
Obtain and secure all necessary permits; schedule inspections as mandated by mechanical or building codes.
Travel approximately 50% or more within the region.
Hard Skill Sets Needed
3–5 years of facilities services and overall building maintenance experience.
Experience in electrical, plumbing, and/or mechanical work.
Leadership experience; able to lead, motivate, and develop others.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Problem‑solving skills with root‑cause and breakdown analysis.
Customer‑service orientation.
Soft Skill Sets Needed
EPA Universal Certification.
PMP Certification.
Lean Six Sigma knowledge.
Current Louisiana Plumbing Contractor license in good standing.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.
3 years of experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering, or related area (or 5 years of related experience).
EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in building controls or related area.
Experience leading cross‑functional teams.
External work experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in optical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environments.
State and jurisdiction‑required certification and license for the state/jurisdiction of work.
State mechanical contractor’s license (Type I and Type II EPA certification for refrigerant handling).
