Summary
Assists in the investigations of incidents involving people supported and program quality, in adherence to applicable laws, regulations and agency policies. Assists in the continuous development of quality standards and in the maintenance of CQL accreditation.
Responsibilities
Conduct investigations and write reports on notable occurrences, significant incidents, and alleged abuse incidents.
Assist staff in the classification of incidents and ensure proper notifications.
Assist Director of Quality Management in training staff on regulation and agency policy, and in the development of trend reports.
Maintain knowledge of all pertinent laws and regulations, including but not limited to NYS Mental Hygiene Law regarding standards of quality of program. Attend all training in investigations and regulatory compliance.
Attend and present incident investigations at monthly Incident Review Committee meetings.

Requirements Education and/or experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred; or equivalent education and experience at hiring manager’s discretion. High School Diploma/GED equivalent required with 5 years investigatory experience and/or 5+ years in the DDSO Field.
