Job Overview Location: Cape Girardeau, MO Full-Time: Non-Exempt - 40 hours/week Base Pay: $19/hour The PSR program is open six (6) days a week, Monday - Saturday. Typical work day: 8:00am-4:30pm M-F, with one evening shift (~7:30pm) and rotating Saturday coverage (8:00am-4:30pm).

What is PSR? The Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) programs in Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Madison, Perry, and Ste. Genevieve provide supportive and rehabilitative services to adults (18+) with chronic mental illnesses. Services include educational, career, social, recreational activities on site and in the community, and transportation via Center vans.

Responsibilities

Deliver rehabilitative services: community living skills training, recreation/socialization services, pre‑vocational skills development, client and family support, and educational assistance.

Drive the Center’s 15‑passenger van to pick up/drop off consumers.

Work with a wide variety of people; no two days are the same.

Qualifications

BA/BS/BSW in Social Work, Psychology, Family Studies, Criminal Justice Rehabilitation and Counseling, or other human services related field.

A four‑year combination of Mental Health experience and post‑secondary education may also qualify a candidate.

Relevant mental health experience preferred.

Must hold or obtain by start date a MO Class E Driver's License (Class D for IL Residents) and proof of continuous auto insurance; meet CCC's Motor Vehicle Record standards policy and have reliable transportation.

Must work a flexible schedule which includes some weekends and evenings.

Essential Functions

Participate in initial screening to evaluate appropriateness of clients referred for PSR services.

Participate in development of client’s individual treatment plan.

Provide transportation to and from community facilities and resources.

Provide daily living skills training: assistance in nutrition, financial and home management, accessing community resources, recreation, pre‑vocational services, development of support systems, diagnosis and medication management, etc.

Provide crisis intervention services for clients enrolled in PSR services as needed.

Monitor and assist client with program compliance.

Document according to clinical policies and procedures, DMH, CARF, and any other federal or state program per agency standards.

Non‑Essential Functions

Maintain compliance with all policy and procedures.

Complete all required training.

Work cooperatively with other departments and members of the community.

Participate in all required meetings as determined by supervisor.

Maintain positive attitude toward agency and clientele.

Other duties as assigned.
