Your Responsibilities as a Project Administrator
Serve as the primary point of contact for CEI services on FDOT and local agency transportation projects.
Administer contracts, monitor budgets, and ensure adherence to project schedules.
Oversee construction inspection teams and maintain compliance with FDOT specifications, standards, and procedures.
Coordinate with contractor, Engineer of Record and project staff to manage submittals, RFIs and pay applications.
Manage documentation and reporting requirements for grant‑funded projects, including Davis‑Bacon wage verification and LAP compliance.
Coordinate with contractors, FDOT representatives, and / or local agencies to resolve issues and maintain project progress.
Review and approve pay estimates, change orders, and project closeout documentation.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum of 5 years of experience in CEI inspection and project administration for FDOT or local agencies on transportation projects.
BS Engineering degree and 3 years CEI experience considered in lieu of 5 years’ experience.
Strong knowledge of FDOT specifications and procedures.
Familiarity with roadway, drainage, and utility construction practices.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
FDOT CTQP certifications (Project Administrator, Earthwork, Asphalt, Concrete) required.
Proficiency in FDOT systems such as SiteManager and other project management tools preferred.
Fieldwork expected in SW FL region.
Driver’s license and excellent driving record required.
