Pay Grade: Manager 3

This position oversees all aspects of sponsorships, both for degree‑seeking students and Workforce Development students, including assisting staff with sponsorship set‑up, billing, and receipting. It also supervises all non‑financial aid refunds.

Responsibilities

Supervise all student sponsorships and refunds for both curriculum and continuing education students

Manage the processing and disbursement schedule for all non‑financial aid refunds

Research and resolve student refund errors generated in Colleague prior to published refund disbursement dates

Apply college policies and state and federal regulations related to student accounts and refunds

Review and approve all sponsorship invoices

Act as an escalation point for student, sponsor, and/or Wake Tech employee questions/concerns about sponsorships and refunds

Manage the monthly cleanup schedule for accounts receivable

Manage unclaimed student refunds returned to the college by third‑party student refund vendor

Monitor account changes for sponsored students in prior terms

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Intermediate skills in MS Excel

Excellent problem‑solving and time‑management skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy in a fast‑paced office environment

Requirements

Associate Degree in Accounting or a Business‑related field

Three years experience in accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Prior leadership/supervisory experience

Preferences

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a Business‑related field
