Trade Compliance Specialist
to support international trade activities across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. In this role, you'll help ensure our import and export operations meet all applicable trade regulations while supporting internal stakeholders with documentation, classification, and compliance best practices.

What You'll Do
Prepare and maintain documentation and records required for
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) ,
Partner Government Agencies (PGAs) ,
Customs Brokers , and internal stakeholders.
Ensure accurate
Import/Export Tariff Classifications , rates of duty, and troubleshoot CBP clearance matters.
Identify and summarize
CBP regulations ,
Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) ,
Duty Preference Programs ,
Anti-Dumping/Countervailing Duty cases , and
Section 301 tariffs .
Support development and maintenance of
import/export guides
and documentation aligned with company SOPs and
Grainger requirements .
Assist with
training cross-functional teams
on trade compliance processes and documentation standards.
Collaborate with
Sourcing, Procurement, Product Management, Legal, and Logistics
to gather supplier and product information and identify compliance risks or cost‑saving opportunities.
Support product classification using
USHTS, CAHTS, Schedule B , and
Export Control Classification Number (ECCN)
codes.
What Will Put You Ahead
Education:
Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics/Transportation, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of import/export experience required.
3+ years of experience and familiarity with relevant trade systems and regulations preferred.
Skills:
Strong analytical, research, and organizational abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Comfortable working across departments and with international partners.
