Is this job for you? The Product Manager is responsible for implementing product growth strategies, including marketing for the Boron Nitride portfolio and Ekonol product line worldwide. Associated responsibilities include forecasting, guiding new product development in current and new markets, implementing pricing strategy, and overall promotion of products, including advertising, trade shows, literature, etc.
This position is responsible to work in conjunction with General Manager to accomplish the business sales and profitability objectives.
The role is also responsible for maintaining strong relationships with key customers to ensure the stability and continued growth of the business.
This position will be an individual contributor, but will work closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Science/Engineering or other technical discipline required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
4-8 years of experience required in applications, sales, marketing management experience, preferably in the materials industry. 3-5 years of experience required in manufacturing or operations, or working closely with operations teams. Prior work experience in product management, business development or applications engineering highly preferred.
Knowledge:
A strong technical science background and experience required.
A strong sense of business ethics is required, plus a knowledge of state, local and company rules and regulations. Understanding of total quality management concepts, and other quality initiatives is required.
Skills:
Strong process optimization and problem-solving skills, high level of interpersonal skills, strong computer skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook), and prior experience with an ERP system. Communication skills (both written and verbal) to interact with customers, subordinates, and department heads within Specialty Grains and Powders Department required.

Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $111,000 to $177,000 per year.
However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $124,320-TTC to $198,240-TTC. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

Essential Functions:
Analyzes market needs and relates effect on company strategy. Monitors and reports competitor's activities as they affect BN & Ekonol market strategy.
Implements specific product sales programs and ensures proper sales emphasis on assigned products while obtaining continuous and meaningful feedback from the marketplace.
Translates customer and market needs into business objectives to improve customer experience, sales growth, and profitability.
Recommends new product development and research projects that ensure continued growth within existing & attractive new markets.
Responsible for developing and supporting the worldwide distribution network.
Provides guidance to regional sales managers to meet & exceed their yearly budget target. Provides market input to technical and manufacturing departments so that new product and product improvement plans can be formulated and priorities set for execution or same.
Responsible for marketing of products, including but not limited to advertising, trade shows, product literature, brochures, and data sheets.
With guidance from the Legal Department, protects confidential business and technical information through legally binding agreements.
Monitors government and industry regulations related to Boron Nitride.
Formulates, implements, and executes the sales plan for assigned products.
Develops and administers pricing strategies for assigned products in selected markets.
Complies with all federal, state, local, and company rules and regulations pertaining to health, safety and environmental issues.
Other duties as assigned; such as web‑site maintenance, budget presentation input, and general marketing support.
