Job Summary:
The Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Specialist ensures customer satisfaction through solutions by providing on-site customer service support including order replenishment, product put away, Lean (6S), maintaining solutions equipment etc. This role will partner with sales and business development teams to drive incremental revenue and growth through solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Drive MSC customer loyalty through support and promotion of solutions.
Support and collaborate with MSC customer solutions and sales associates through CARE program implementation.
Promote CARE (Clean, Arrange, Relationships, Exceed Expectations) principles.
Maintain 6S appearance of all solutions equipment.
Daily log activity in SFDC.
Ensure appropriate stock levels (min/max) are maintained.
Unpack, receive, and put away product at all solution points of use.
Connect with customer contacts to ensure solution retention.
Drive product expansion through spot buys and incremental solution growth.
Lead safety compliance for VMIS team.
Repair and maintain vending solution equipment to company standards.
Recommend opportunities for solutions/spot buy growth to sales associate and management, documenting in SFDC.
Support shared profitability improvement goals within assigned accounts.
Maintain knowledge of all inventory management solutions.
Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customers.
Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings meeting company standards.
Utilize routing software tools to adhere to planned schedule and document daily activities.
Maintain daily timekeeping using MSC-approved time management applications.
Foster the MSC Culture within the department and throughout the company, ensuring fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.
Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Inventory Management or Customer Service experience preferred.
Relevant military experience a plus.
Skills
Excellent customer service.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Other Requirements
Valid driver's license required.
Position requires over 80% of daily travel within assigned territory.
Occasional overnight travel required.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to walk, lift, bend, stretch, stand for long periods of time.
Willingness to adhere to customer safety and PPE protocol.
May require access to ITAR and/or CUI.
Compensation:
Starting at $19-$20 per hour, dependent on location and experience. Salary range based on comparable roles; actual compensation based on candidate's relevant experience, education and pay equity. The company reserves right to modify range as market conditions change.
Work Eligibility:
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. We are not sponsoring visas for this position at this time.
