Production Supervisor 2nd Shift at SATO America. Base pay range
$35.00/hr - $38.00/hr SUMMARY
Supervise all employees in the production department in the manufacture of high‑quality products in a cost effective manner. Train and maintain a safe and productive workforce in a positive teamwork environment. Coach, counsel and discipline as required., direct activities of all other off shift employees. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a safe work environment Responsible for safety training on production equipment Responsible for safety audits in the production department Monitor all equipment guarding and personal safety equipment Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping in all areas of the plant Ensure that employees are following safety procedures and using appropriate protective equipment Maintain a high level of quality for our customer’s products Train all employees on product quality standards and customer expectations Communicate to all employees on the critical aspects of our products Conduct shop floor quality audits, inspections and product approvals Create a well‑trained efficient workforce Cross train employees to maintain a competitive, knowledgeable and flexible work force Responsible for continued productivity improvements, scrap reduction and plant OEE targets Ensure that all employees have the required tools and equipment to successfully perform their duties in the most cost efficient manner Responsible for creating and maintaining a positive teamwork atmosphere and support 5S and continuous improvement activities General requirements Develop, implement and support cost reduction programs Required to interface with all departments Complete corrective action analysis and resolution on customer rejections; facilitate root cause resolution to problems Hold regular shift communication meetings Complete all shutdown procedures to secure the facility at end of shift Generate reports as required Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Associate degree + 1 to 3 years in a leadership role or 2+ years related experience in the printing industry preferably in flexographic environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and direct a diverse work force. Mechanical knowledge and aptitude. Solid computer skills including Word and Excel. Strong visual color comprehension and math, ruler and analytical skills. BENEFITS
