Master Scheduler
role at
ON.energy
ON.energy is building the power infrastructure that makes the AI era possible. As AI demand surges past what the grid and traditional data centers can support, ON.energy provides a new class of power technology proven at gigawatt scale and trusted by the world’s leading cloud and AI companies. Our systems are already deployed across 2.5 GW of hyper‑scale campuses, validated by top U.S. national labs, and certified for grid‑safe operation by major utilities. With real products in the field, we’re scaling faster than the grid can, transforming power from a bottleneck into a competitive advantage for the companies building the future.
About the Role The Master Scheduler owns the master production schedule for all Data Center projects, integrating supplier lead times and capacity from the Supply Chain Category managers, PMO project plans, engineering readiness, procurement, logistics, installation, and commissioning into a single authoritative plan. The role ensures schedule integrity from pre‑sales through execution and prevents surprises that jeopardize customer delivery or contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain the master schedule across Sales, PMO, Supply Chain, Procurement, Key Suppliers, Logistics, Engineering, and Field Services.
Assess schedule feasibility for bids and opportunities.
Manage the “Availability to Promise” schedule showing open delivery slots.
Document risks and assumptions for commercial review.
Support creation of contractual schedule exhibits prior to NTP.
Integrate supplier forecasts for key supply such as inverters/PCS, MV gear, transformers, and BESS.
Track variances and escrow risks early.
Work with Procurement on long‑lead planning and date alignment.
Maintain a closed‑loop process for demand changes, scope changes, and sales developments.
Ensure planning for long‑lead items matches real project needs.
Identify schedule risks early and propose mitigation options.
Run what‑if scenarios for supplier delays or field‑resource limitations.
Coordinate recovery plans with PMs and Commercial.
Lead monthly S&OP and weekly cross‑functional schedule meetings.
Maintain a single schedule of record with disciplined version control.
Ensure alignment across PMO, Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, and Field Services.
Required Experience
5-10 years of experience with 2+ years in Master Scheduling, Project Scheduling, Project Controls, or Integrated Planning — ideally in outsourced, engineered‑to‑order equipment.
Experience with sales and operations planning processes.
Demonstrated success working cross‑functionally in a project‑heavy business.
Expert‑level skills with MS Word and Excel.
Strong communication discipline; capable of pushing back on unrealistic dates with facts.
Preferred Experience and Skills
Experience with Contract Manufacturers is preferred.
Ideally, possess an understanding of long‑lead manufacturing cycles for inverters/PCS, MV switchgear, transformers, and commissioning processes.
Ability to navigate Salesforce Sales Cloud and generate reports and analytics would be preferred.
Ideally, have experience with ERP systems, particularly with NetSuite ERP.
Proficiency in Procore, MS Project, Smartsheet, Power BI, or equivalent schedule/reporting tools would be a bonus.
