Description
We are currently seeking a
Referral Coordinator
to join our team. The Referral Coordinator will work closely with healthcare providers to ensure that patients receive the necessary referrals for medical services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing referrals from initial intake to completion and communicating with patients and providers throughout the process.
Manage the referral process from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and accuracy
Communicate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary information for referrals
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of referrals and patient information
Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve the referral process
Monitor referral trends and identify opportunities for process improvement

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field preferred
Medical Assistant Certification
3+ years of experience in healthcare or customer service required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance policies preferred
