Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand product capabilities and develop customized solutions for clients.

Assist in product design or modifications to meet customer specifications and industry standards.

Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and feasibility analyses for prospective clients.

Identify and pursue new market opportunities by analyzing industry trends and customer needs.

Develop relationships with customers and industry partners to drive new and recurring business.

Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, distributors, and other key stakeholders.

Develop cost models for development and production of hardware.

Prepare and negotiate contracts, ensuring alignment with both technical and business goals.

Act as the bridge between the sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless communication and project execution.

Provide technical input to marketing materials, proposals, and client-facing documentation.

Obtain market information to guide product development and innovation.

Provide key input to overall business strategy and business planning activities.

Oversee small project timelines, budgets, and deliverables for custom-engineered solutions.

Troubleshoot technical challenges in collaboration with internal teams and clients.

Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and certifications.

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.

Stay updated on advancements in engineering and manufacturing to enhance product offerings and maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in a technical or engineering role, with exposure to business development or sales.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or other relevant Engineering domain. An advanced degree or MBA is a plus.

Hands-on experience with custom-engineered products or solutions.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools is highly desirable.

Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards.

Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry certifications.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

Excellent mechanical aptitude and mechanical design capabilities.

Ability to apply engineering theory across industries/markets.

Soft Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize with minimal supervision.

Other Desired Experience

Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems (SAP or similar).

Flexible Metal Bellows industry experience highly desirable.

Work Environment

Climate-controlled office environment – 90%

Enclosed metals fabrication shop (welding, heavy equipment) – 10%

Travel

Willingness to travel as required (domestically and internationally) – up to 25%
