Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs a variety of equipment and machinery to support manufacturing, packaging, and distribution operations. Diagnoses problems and recommends solutions.
Essential Job Functions
Uses knowledge and experience to resolve complex operating problems (e.g., repairs of electrical, vacuum, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, and assembly and testing of motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, generators) in a timely manner; reports other problems to Supervisor.
Performs general and preventative maintenance on multiple production systems in and around the facility.
Performs mechanical calibrations and alignments during preventative maintenance on equipment.
Applies related knowledge to test and/or modify operational machinery and control equipment.
Accurately completes daily maintenance reports.
Maintains a clean and organized work environment and conserves resources by using equipment and supplies without waste.
Follows safety policies and procedures; reports unsafe conditions to Supervisor.
Education & Experience
Typical education required: Associate Degree, Military, or Civilian Equivalent in Industrial Maintenance Technology.
Two to five years of related experience.
Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to work with minimal supervision and flexibly shift priorities as needed.
Able to work from verbal and written instructions.
Work Environment and Physical Demands Maintenance – Self‑paced, 8‑hour shifts. May be exposed to fumes, loud noises, and extreme temperatures infrequently. Functional near, far, and peripheral vision and functional hearing required.
Physical Demands – Medium. Very heavy, lifting up to 150 lbs.
