Culinary Services Supervisor – Discovery Senior Living Position: Culinary Services Supervisor – Full Time – Aston Gardens, Tampa Bay.

Discovery Senior Living is part of the Discovery Management Group, a leader in senior living communities nationwide. The Culinary Services Supervisor will oversee dining operations, ensuring quality service, safety, and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Assist the Culinary Services Manager by overseeing dining room operations and supervising dining services team members.

Maintain a customer‑focused attitude, manage traffic flow, and balance serving responsibilities among staff.

Ensure visibility during meal times by seating and greeting residents, addressing concerns, and confirming needs are met.

Prepare schedules and assign tasks to wait staff, including table assignments and closing duties.

Ensure uniform and personal appearance meet standards, customer service, and proper food handling techniques.

Train wait staff on operating procedures and menu education.

Ensure efficient operation within budgeted guidelines.

Promote customer engagement activities and interact with residents during meal times to monitor satisfaction or concerns.

Facilitate highest quality and safety practices in all food & beverage sanitation standards and service.

Maintain sanitation and control standards in dining room and wait stations.

Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, proper attire, and health standards are maintained by the dining team.

Operate in compliance with state and federal laws.

Monitor and evaluate food quality for presentation, temperature, and portion size; communicate with kitchen staff for adjustments and share resident feedback.

Monitor and evaluate table service adequacy for timing, etiquette, and thoroughness; provide hospitality training and adjustments as appropriate.

Monitor and adjust resident accounts for meal and charge accuracy.

Ensure floor charts and tables are set up correctly.

Assist servers as needed with table service.

Record and track daily sales transactions.

Assist with ordering in specific areas (e.g., liquor) and maintain budgetary compliance.

Maintain POS system through communication with IT support.

Assist director with time‑keeping procedures, payroll entries, as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Two (2) years’ experience in fine dining.

Dining room supervisory experience preferred.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
