Warehouse Supervisor Comfort Systems USA

Position Overview The Warehouse Supervisor directs the efficient and cost-effective operation of warehousing facilities. The position manages inbound activities related to the receipt and storage of goods, inventory management, and claims. The Warehouse Supervisor oversees outbound activities related to order management and stock replenishment.

Key Job Responsibilities

Manages workforce planning, staffing allocation, onboarding training, overtime control, and cross‑training to support fluctuating volume.

Ensures timely and complete documentation for all inbound/outbound transactions, shipping pictures, and chain‑of‑custody records.

Ensures timely and accurate ERP transactions using handheld/mobile devices; trains team to maintain transactional discipline.

Prepares required reports; provides detailed analysis of warehouse operations.

Maintains vendor evaluation program for vendor receiving and reports on quality thereof.

Responsible for accurate inventory and productivity levels and maintains employee evaluation program for quality and quantity of work performed.

Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement.

Develops strategic vision and road map for all warehouse functions. Documents requirements and works with IT personnel for warehouse management information system software.

Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with Warehouse Management/LN ERP Systems.

Oversees related LN ERP transaction performance and accuracy, trains employees in LN ERP transactions, and ensures transactional discipline.

Manages work order kitting process for production and job site (ship loose) kitting ensuring on‑time delivery, kit content accuracy and complete documentation.

Performs department workload planning and prioritization of activities.

Performs other duties as assigned by TAS.

Leads cycle count program execution and ensures inventory accuracy KPIs are achieved across all warehouse locations.

Oversees yard material management, traceability, and weather‑protection compliance for structural and pipe inventory.

Implements standard operating procedures (SOPs), 5S/housekeeping standards, and visual workplace tools.

Drives continuous improvement projects that improve efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance quality performance.

Represents the warehouse team in cross‑functional meetings and planning sessions.

Job Skills

Broad knowledge of material handling, warehouse operations.

Knowledge of OSHA safety rules.

Strong interpersonal skills, understanding of diverse backgrounds, and emphasis on communication: training, team building, negotiation, interdepartmental interaction, leadership and supervision, and management.

Ability to manage and develop a staff of three to fifteen people.

Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.

Collect, interpret, and analyze complex data and information.

Excellent math and computer proficiency.

Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and ERP Systems.

Education & Training

Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

Military training and/or extensive relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

5+ years warehouse experience in industrial or manufacturing environment required.

2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role required.

Minimum Requirements

3 years of related factory experience and/or training.

Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.

Knowledge of ERP and Warehouse Management Systems, preferably LN ERP.

Intermediate MS Office software skills.

Preferred Requirements

2–3 years of previous supervisory experience.

Warehouse experience in an industrial fabrication environment.

Knowledge of industrial fabrication material/services.

C.P.I.M. certification preferred.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Work performed in a shop environment.

Exposed to various elements but none disagreeable.

Requires normal vision and absence of color blindness.

Physical effort equal to frequent moving of up to 50 lbs.

Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.

Use of safety glasses required; earplugs recommended.

Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day (with lunch in between) and up to 6 days a week.

Ability to work in a non‑air‑conditioned environment.

Steel‑toe boots required in manufacturing facility.
