Job Overview This role integrates responsibilities of material planning and production scheduling to ensure timely procurement, inventory control, and efficient scheduling of production operations. The position serves as a key liaison between suppliers, production teams, and customers to meet business objectives and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

Execute the purchase of material required to support ADAC Electronics.

Monitor supplier delivery schedules, ensuring material coverage in support of production schedules. Contact suppliers and initiate corrective actions as necessary.

Collaborate with buyers to review supplier strategies and implement plans.

Analyze and develop short-range and long-range component plans, providing input for long-range forecasts.

Release Purchase Orders for production materials, floor stock items, and all purchases required to support the business.

Collaborate with other departments such as Purchasing and Supervisors to address material status and production planning issues.

Collaborate directly with customers to meet their requirements.

Work closely with production leaders to schedule the production floor at ADAC Electronics.

Maintain and review the master production schedule daily, adjusting for changes in customer requirements, delays in raw material deliveries, equipment availability, etc. Notify appropriate parties in production and sales about schedule changes.

Enter specific sales orders into the master schedule based on requested customer delivery dates and available resources.

Perform cycle counting of inventory items as needed to maintain accurate stock levels and support production planning.

Manage projects and initiatives that support business strategies and opportunities.

Required Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree or associate's degree with related work experience

3-5 years of progressive supply chain management experience, including previous production planning and materials control experience

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Supply Chain Management

Previous experience in an automotive manufacturing environment

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing conceptsProficiency in ERP Systems

APICS or ISM certification

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships and to build a positive rapport with all levels of the organization (up, down and sideways)

Ability to take initiative and work independently with little direction at times

Strong planning, organizational and problem‑solving skills

Excellent communication skills both oral and written

Ability to facilitate both small and large groups in formal presentations, working meetings, business reviews and informal discussions
