Job Summary

The Grant Program Manager is responsible for comprehensive management and oversight of the Arizona Board of Nursing (AZBN) 1803 grants within Dignity Health Arizona. This role ensures compliance with agency requirements, effective communication between stakeholders, and successful implementation and execution of grant‑funded projects. The Grant Program Manager serves as the primary point of contact for all grant‑related activities and provides guidance and support to Principal Investigators and other stakeholders. This position is funded by the AZBN Grant for one year.

Essential Functions

Grant Oversight and Compliance: Manage the full life cycle of AZBN grants, ensuring adherence to all agency requirements, Dignity Health policies and regulations. Conduct quality‑control reviews, monitor progress, and submit reports on time. Oversight of Data Analyst and Preceptor Program Manager.

Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration: Serve as primary liaison between Dignity Health, AZBN, Principal Investigators and stakeholders. Facilitate communication, resolve inquiries and foster relationships to support grant objectives.

Grant Negotiation and Facilitation: Negotiate with agencies regarding requested changes, corrections or clarifications to agreements. Facilitate agency requests with investigators to ensure accurate responses and proactively address potential issues.

Reporting and Documentation: Prepare narrative and informational reports for funding agencies, investigators and administration. Compile and organize information for grant applications, progress reports and audits.

Training and Education: Develop and deliver training materials on grant‑management best practices, compliance requirements and policies. Disseminate information regarding the grant oversight program and encourage utilization.

Process Improvement and Efficiency: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of grant management and application processes. Develop operating procedures to streamline workflows.

Budget Management and Reporting: Assist in budget development, grant management reporting, cost tracking, reconciliation and auditing activities. Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with grant budget guidelines.

Program Design and Implementation: Manage design, implementation, planning and tracking of all activities related to the grant scope of work.

Monitoring and Improvement: Mentor experience in program promotion, conference and educational training, outcome measurement, monitoring and improvement to assist project advisory committee/board in achieving program goals.

Job Requirements

Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master of Nursing preferred.

Licenses and Certifications : Registered Nurse: AZ (RN:AZ).

Knowledge/Skills :

Grant management experience within a healthcare or academic setting.

Knowledge of grant management principles, including organizational management, outcome measurement and data tracking.

Ability to develop and manage budgets, track expenses and prepare financial reports.

Knowledge of AZBN 1803 grant preferred and familiarity with Arizona State Board of Nursing.

Teaching/mentoring experience preferred.

Pay Range

$45.26 – $67.32 per hour.
