Job Title: Fleet Engineer / Fleet Specialist
Department: Fleet Support & Technical Services
Reports To: Fleet Procurement Supervisor
Location: Forest Park, GA
Position Summary The Fleet Engineer / Fleet Specialist supports the Fleet Support & Technical Services organization by contributing to the design, specification, evaluation, and procurement of vehicles and equipment. This role collaborates closely with engineering, design, procurement, and field teams.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Specification Support: Develop vehicle specifications, conduct evaluations, support technology adoption.
Procurement & Sourcing Support: Assist with RFQs, technical evaluations, vendor assessments, and delivery tracking.
Field & Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with operations teams, conduct site visits, gather field insights.
Data, Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Analyze performance data, support modernization initiatives.
Safety, Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and internal safety requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
3–5 years of experience in fleet, engineering, or procurement roles.
Strong analytical, communication, and technical skills.
Performance Indicators
Accuracy and quality of specifications.
Collaboration effectiveness.
Supplier performance insights.
Contributions to fleet modernization.
